Polarized lenses increase comfort
Polarized lenses are used to reduce glare from reflective surfaces such as the surface of a lake, snow or wet road.They are ideal for drivers and people with outdoor hobbies, e.g. golfers.
Dishwashing liquid is not good for lenses
Undiluted dishwashing liquid is too strong for the coatings of ophthalmic lenses. We recommend special cleaning agent with plenty of luke warm water and soft, unpilling cloth for wiping. Piiloset Lens Clean and Piiloset Hand Soap are ideal detergents for gentle and efficient cleaning of lenses.
Spectacles should be protected from heat
High temperatures may damage spectacles. Do not expose lenses to open fire, hot oven or dashboard.
Index is about thickness of a lens
Ophthalmic lenses are manufactured from different plastic and glass materials. The higher index, the thinner and lighter lens. 1.5 index is a norm, higher than that are called high index.
